Pictured here is the gravestone of William Walker in the coastal town of Trujillo, Honduras. Walker attempted his final invasion of the Central American region from this town in 1860, and was subsequently caught, arrested, and executed by the Honduran government.
The tomb plaque reads “William Walker: shot 12 September, 1860.”
